mk1 wipers and heater motor?

List,

Ok, along with my hard starts, i have 2 things that flat out do not work on 
th ecar... THe front and rear wipers, and the hvac controls.

I used my bently and went through the trouble shooting for the wipers.. The 
motor is fine for the front, i made it wipe, everything in the tests came 
out ok untill i got to the last step, i seem to find that the wires to the 
motor are bad????  if this is so, any common chaifing places?

For the hvac controls, i really dont know.. i havent delt with it yet, but i 
was wondering if anyone had any advice about it.  Thanks
