Brake Booster & pedals... is this right?

So I swapped the brake booster, master cylinder, and Pedal
assembly over from an 87 16v into a 84 8v. when I hook the
clevis pin to the brake pedal I have to depress the pedal
like a 1/4" so the holes for the clevis pin lines up. I
checked the specs from the bentley for the rod length 206
mm exactly. I'm sure you all can see the problem here... I
will be driving around with my brake lights on constantly
and cruse control disengauging all the time. What did I
miss here?

thanks.
