i realize the self-adjusting cable is no good and expensive, but it was
free to me.  Just trying to come up with an explanation of why this car
makes a nasty noise when the clutch is depressed, and i was hoping it was
the cable, cause that would be something easy to replace.  Guess i have
to pull down the tranny and look at the clutch :(

Whats  the address to access VW's tech bulletin?  i got http://www.tech.vw.com,
but that isnt right.  i want to look up recalls.  TIA
