I in no way meant to say that ND is silly. I was referring to the bikering
about what constitutes a "real" club. The notion that somebody would go so
far to say that Scirocco.org isn't a club is silly. It sounds like they're
just sore losers. I was using it as an example of a number of threads I've
followed on VW Vortex.

On the contrary, I would VERY much like to go to ND someday (and Waterfest
too, for that matter)! I really enjoy hanging out with car people in
general: Scirocco, VW, or otherwise. I spent several weeks in the SF Bay
area last year, and got to meet a lot of people in the area several times
including 'Chung, TBerk, Randy B, Mark Hausler, and a bunch of people from
the Mk1 club. I had an awesome time! Even though I'm now in Florida, I'm
still a member of the Minnesota VW club "Volksport". I've also been one of
the "farthest drive" people at Cincinnati for the last two years, and I'm
hoping to do it again this year.
