A nut?  Moi?  Never...

The drive was worth it simply for the sights on the return trip, Grand
Canyon, Meteor Crater, Painted Desert, massive thunderstorms in Arkansas..

This year, since it's at Moffett Field, my commute will simply be get on
CA-85, drive to the end of it at 101, and hit the base. 

I think my '81 S will make that trip just fine. :-)
(Pictures of my new car later today, the paint is a bit rough, but that
doesn't surprise me.  I *heart* my new digital camera)

P.S. FWIW - It's a 3 day trip from Atlanta to San Jose, the only reason it
took me 4 days last year, was because of snow and closed roads in Colorado.

It is preferrable if you bring your rocco, but I wasn't ousted when I came
from Colorado in the Golf (it helped that I had come the previous year in
the 80 beater bright yellow beast rocco).

Yeah!  Pat drove all the way from Atlanta!  He is a nut!  Colorado wasn't
bad, but Atlanta?
