Since I'm the guinea pig for this whole shebang, let me elucidate.
Absolutely, I would have preferred to go with the proper 100mm all
around. But, when I started the Project, the first thing I did was
to do a suspension. I took the car in to be aligned, and they said
all the bearings were so worn, they couldn't get an alignment.
Being new to all this, I just said, "Oh, go ahead and fix em." That
learned me well, because $400 later, I had a fresh new set of 90mm
bearings. (car started life as an 8v.) I put MAYBE 1000 more miles
on the car before tearing it completely apart. So I wanted my
money's worth out of my folly, and it seems to work.
As far as being cursed by a future owner....there won't be one. After
all the work I put into this car, you think I'm gonna sell it?
