Lets cover basics first-

You keeping a good 15psi in the cooling system?, is it something like
50/50 coolant to water?, what weight oil in use? miles on the block?,
timing advance?

Possibility exists you were loading up the heat but it didn't get any
cooling air flow. Rad fan FUSE OK?, Thermo good OEM and opening enough,
water pump marginal?


Radiator semi clogged?
