Now THAT is the lamest part of the whole story.  He drags you all the way
out there, under false pretenses (which they were whether he "knew" it or
not), you then point out that his car isn't as advertised, obviously
decreasing its value, and then he won't even cut you a freakin' break
by dropping the price accordingly after what he'd done to you?  I'd
have been tempted to kick his ass.
