Yes, you have an intake leak somewhere.  A big one.  Sounds like your
airflow sensor isn't being activated, as the same thing will happen when the
intake pipe is removed/open.

Start at one end and check all your boot-matings  they should ALL have band
clamps on them.  Have you reattached all the hose clamps securely, ensuring
that the boots are tucked all the way on?  (you shouldn't tighten them so
much that the rubber squishes, but they should be snug -- IE. airtight)
Maybe you forgot the metal pipe that comes up through the bottom of the boot
right at the throttle body ?Low RPM bypass air line?  Ensure all your vacuum
hoses are hooked up properly too.

I've put the 5000 TB on and I love it; the responsiveness has improved
drastically, it's probably the best bang for buck upgrade on the 'roc!!
