Re: g60 research



I have seen two 2.0 G60's (both still in Corrado's).  I know that with a
stock head and intake/exhaust setup the bottom half would be wasted if
you went with more than the 1.9, but shouldn't a P&P, cam, intake, and
headers allow enough increased flow for a 2.0?  Knowing the difference
the 2.0ltr 92.8mm crank made over the 1.8 in 16v form, I'd feel compelled
to try increasing displacement as long as I could do the necessary head
work.

If Chadwick is talking about the 2.0 cross flow engine (1993->) then
there is a supposed clearance issue with the MKII hood.  VW designed the
car in such a way the the mounting points put the engine at an angle to
keep the low hood line.
