Exactly. It's the other way around, you can't replace the belt without
removing the pass. side mount.

I've replaced the pass. side engine mount without disturbing the timing
belt...

The 16V is basically the same as the '85 and up, just a little tighter...

Considering the 16V timing belt's change interval, 50-60K, it makes
perfect sense to do the timing belt at the same time.
