The bearings are pressed in. I mean... they _should_be_ pressed on
depending on the condition of your housing.
You should be able to do this yourself. DOES (Depending On experience and
Skill.)
The one thing to be careful about is getting the bearing out of the
housing without breaking the housing supports. Those things are famous
for snapping. A good light arbor press should allow you to do it more
easily. YMMV.
To me its just easier to buy another rebuilt alternator. $45 and your all
done. No fuss, no mess.
