Non Roc-'97 GTI 2.0 puking oil into air intake, why????

Anyone have thoughts on this?  It appers to be coming from the little deal
on top of the valve cover(some kind of valve or vent).  I've seen it before
on old beaters, but didn't care because they were beaters.  This is on my
sister's '97 GTI so it's different.  It's not a lot of oil but enough, and
don't want it deal screw up the O2 sensor or any of that stuff.
