Neal,
Yes, you do need to remove the starter. And I don't recall what size, but I
know that I've taken my starter bolts out with a standard hex allen tool.
Once you have the entire mount out of the car, you get to have the fun of
trying to get the new motor mount onto the metal part. The stock one is
usually pretty easy, but if you are installing a performance one, prepare to
grunt. SO much so that you may think that it won't fit, but it does.
