If it is green with a white pull up thingy thenit is for cheecking your 
ignition timing. DO NOT pour gear oil in this one. I knew this one guy who 
did and he called me and said he had filled his new tranny with gear oil but 
it was running out the bottom of the tranny. His new clutch lasted about 3 
weeks. hmmmm go figure :)

Methinks this is your throwout bearing housing and fifth gear housing (all 
in one, cool huh?). Does it have a VW symbol on it?

Check for cracks in thee mounting bracket. If it isnt cracked yet 
immediately replace the 17mm nut.

Nawww, saves time and headache pushing that stupid button to make the red 
light go away.
