I sold my old 1.8 16v with 98K for 140 but now just bought one for 50 . 

And as for 2.0s , I have mangaged to buy 2 for only 150 each . One lost all 8 
intake vavles hence the reason I had to buy another 1.8 . 

I would say I represent the low end of the spectrum , I usually hear 1.8s go 
for about 200 - 400 bucks . If its a scirocco one with conversion parts you 
can usually get a premium for those .
