Sorry if this is off topic.

All this manly clutch talk has me wondering:  Has anyone experienced the 
A1 clutch pedal weld at steering column failure I read about in EC long 
time ago?  Anyone done any prophylactic measures?  Yeah, you can make 
Beavis jokes here......
