[rdo] heidelberg v, engine rev, speaker pop
when i bouth my car it had a cheap radio in it. when i took it out, i
found that the original radio had been brutally taken out and the wires
were cut. i just recently replaced my factory speakers with boston
acoustics and the replacement radio with a heidelberg v (matsushita).
since then, i've noticed a couple odd things.
1) occasionally when i turn up the volume, the speaker pops. is the
speaker dying or is this a result of the spliced wires (used a butt
connector to a fatory plug into the radio)?
2) occasionally when i'm really paying attention (or, for some god
unknown reason, am on a a.m. station) i can hear my car rev, idle, etc.
what is the cause of this? it's sort of cool sometimes but i know this
isn't normal.
on another note, how hard is it to put a fuba antenna on my car (the
antenna is currently on the fender) and does anyone else have problems
wither speakers in the doors? it's like the screw hole has been stripped
out. thanx.
