Yes.  From what I understand, the stock springs might be in danger of
binding, or are more likely to float at extreme rpms with aggressive cams.

I don't believe so, if you remove the stem seals, and spring retainers,
then the valve would fall into the cylinder bore <clink>.  Some people have
used an adapter and compressed air to pressurize the cylinder being
worked on to keep the valve seated while you work on it.  Probably just
easier to remove the head.

When was the last time you removed the head?  That's how hard it is. :)
With the addition of removing the valves of course...if it was me, I'd
probably just have someone else do it.

$140-$160 if I remember correctly.  Might as well throw in some stem
seals too.

Not sure if valve springs need to be compressed much to install, as I've
never actually done that job, I've had professionals do my headwork.

sure, take off .030...should get you to 11:1 on  your 2L.  Run 93 or
better after that, and stock 6 degree BTDC of advance.
