Re: Fw: Interesting Motor



The profile gasket problem was with the older 1.8L M42 I-4
engine(1990-1994), the M44 1.9L is bullet-proof, and has 150 hp out of the
box.

For $250, if it takes less than $500 to fabricate parts for the install, I'd
call that cheap horsepower. I can barely buy cams for that, and would still
fall short of 150 hp. Plus they are dead reliable and durable.

It is a _big_ IF, whether it is feasible to mount that motor in  a
Scirocco...
