?'s bout a 2 liter motor

Hey guys and gals, I've got a line on a motor from a 16V Passat for about
$600.  Actually, there are three at the place and I'm looking to grab the
lowest mileage one.  Anyways, I think I have to take the whole motor, I'm
assuming without the accessories but I'm not 100% sure.  Seeing as all I
want is the block, what do you think the value of the other parts is (head
and intake manifold)?  If I get the alternator and ps pump etc, will any of
that stuff be worth holding on to or selling? Is $600 way too much to pay
for a motor with about 73k on it?  The place won't let you pull the motor
yourself, they have to do it for you.  I wanted to go there with $450 in one
pocket and $150 in the other and see if I can get it for $450, maybe I'll
get lucky.  Thanks for any insight ya'll might collectively have :-)

ps - finally sold my Corrado this weekend.  Happy and sad about it, to be
honest, but it was the right thing to do.  I did at least go as fast as the
speedo would show for a bit, to give her a good send off *grin*
