body stuff, cheap

My 86 has some minor damage from the hood opening during flight. The cowl
under the windshirld is, of course, damaged. It is buckled (less than my 84
which was ripped apart!) and it is higher than normal in the center, so the
hood catches. Also, the rear corners of the hood are slightly bent at about
30 deg. How should I go about bending the hood back, and lowering the cowl.
One suggestion I had, to reduce the visability of the buckleing, is to paint
the cowl flat black, like the B-pillars. My car is grey, so it should blend
well. This is opposed to bondo, sanding, and matching the (good) factory
finish. There is also a slight impact ding on the upper corner of the right
fender. It does not travel far back, but the hood is bent here to match.
Should I take the fender off and beat it from the inside, or try to bondo and
paint?
One more problem (before this turns into a long, bitchy, story) is that some
@-hole screwed mud flaps to the rear fenders with big screws, which cause the
lip around the fender to develop small holes. Has anyone tackled this
problem before?

Thanks for any help
Ben S.
