Various Leaks that Plague my Scirocco

Okay, after thouroughly cleaning under my hood several months ago, I noticed 
there was still some grime cleverly hiding from me on my transmission.  As I 
sneered at it, I noticed a little drop of something, precariously hanging 
from the bottom-most bolt on my transmission.  Looking on the ground I saw a 
small puddle.  I put my finger on the drop and found the liquid to be rather 
thin, darker brown, and having neither an oil or transmission fluid scent.  
After mentioning it to several people, they all came to the same 
inconclusive "yup, its a leak of some sort" conclusion.  Yesterday, I was 
installing my new front motor mount bracket and mount, and found myself face 
to face with not only that one, but also another nefarious leak, mocking me 
from the oil pan drain plug.  Didn't check this fluid out, cause I was too 
frustrated with the mount, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to 
what either leak is, and how to fix it.  Knowing I have leaks plauging my 
car, eats away at me.
