We didn't have the 16v in the UK unless you bought it by special order. As far
as i know all Scirocco's from 84 came with what you call the 16v bodykit and
being as they are all 8v we just call it the Scirocco bodykit. Only very early
82/83 MK2's didn't have a kit.

I saw a Scirocco Slegato in Toronto (in the PARKING lot of all places!!!)
The Slegato was not brought to the US, basically was an 8v with the
16v body kit. This one was painted a very unique shade of deep blue
that also wasn't available in the US.
I keep thinking I want to get my hands on a Mk II and make a Slegato.
Does the UK's Scala have the 16v body kit?
