Re: How can I improve a 1.5 carb engine ?
Ok, I'm a bit removed from carbs.
On my 1975 Scirocco (1471 cc) , I had a Weber carb
(32/36 DFEV 2 barrel electric choke carb)put on to
replace the crappy Zenith stock model. It helped. So
did the free flow exhaust.
What ex. manifold is on the car (need info!) - if it's
the crappy 4 into one - consider a 4 into two coupled
to a good free flow downpipe and exhaust.
Is it a solid lifter? If not, get a good carb cam
(there must be plenty of sources in Europe).
A better carb and exhaust alone should yield 10-15%
increase in HP.
Ignorantly yours, I am.
