<x-charset iso-8859-1>Keep the car on the ground, use a 30mm socket with a LONG breaker bar or
something with a cheater bar on it and crank COUNTER clockwise.  If you need
to, put your brake on so that the car won't rock so much.  Or, use the rock
to your advantage to snap it loose.  I have NEVER had any problems breaking
them loose this way on VW.  HTH!
