Trim color fading- any solutions?

Hey folks...

The plastic body kit on my Tornado Red 16v is faded out... almost a
purplish red now.   The painted areas of the body buff and polish
beautifully.   I'm just wondering how can i make the plastic trim all the
way around match the rest of the body?   Do I need to repaint?
