It may be an "OEM" belt but who is the
manufacturer?  It is usually printed on
the outer face.  Not all belt makers are
of equal quality.

When you mentioned the sound, it
reminded me of another strange problem
I have seen...the alternator fan can slip
on the shaft if the pulley nut bottoms
out on the shaft end before the pulley
can fully clamp the fan.  See if you can
spin the fan with the pulley locked, or
drop a few drops of oil into the interface
between the fan and the pulley and see if
the squeal goes away.

I am still convinced that you are not
looking at a bearing problem.  The
type of "squeal" you describe should
be felt/heard during hand turning of the
shaft.

Call me conservative, but I have guessed
a more expensive repair before only to find
the solution was a cheap and easy one...:-(
