2.0L 8v Engine Update...

<x-flowed>Put my plans for the 2.0L engine on hold. Got the 1.6L engine checked by
the dealer and aside from an oil leak it seems to be running fine. So I'm
planning on keeping it for as long as possible.

I think everyone agrees that the Scirocco's greatest strength is the way it
handles. I'm sure that when I cut the top, most of those qualities will be
lost.

Kinda makes me sad but although you can't tell, the car has an accident
history so it probably isn't in top shape now any way. It'll make a good
lookin country cruiser but won't be racing anyone unfortunately.

Kinda like those retired race horses. You can't push 'em like you used to
but you can make em look pretty.

Of course I'm only sayin' that because my frame was bent at one point. I
know that there are plenty of MK1's racing out there.

Was there ever a Rocco racing series? Did Volkswagen ever sponsor a
Scirocco factory Team?

Cheers,
Armando
