Original factory performance specs on the 16v Scirocco says that it is about 
1/10th of a second faster than the factory specs for the GS-R  0-60mph and 
2/10ths faster through the 1/4 mile.  So basically if you have two equally 
skilled drivers behind the wheel of both cars side by side on a dragstrip and 
both cars have a good start, they should be about nose to nose (probably the 
only reason the Scirocco would win by a nose is because of it's enormous 
front bucktooth bumper)  :) :)  The 16v Scirocco is an extreme sleeper car to 
those familiar to only the inferior and sluggier  1.8L 16v GTI/GLIs.  2.0L 
GTI's specs close to those of 1.8L 16v Scirocco
