I also have no molding on my car.  I recently had the car painted Corrado Yellow.  The car looks sharp with out the molding.

As for the parking, I also park out in the boondocks.  People are damn rude about hitting car with their doors.  I just park away from them.  It only take a few extra seconds to walking in to the store.
