Ok, I think I can help. I have the whole axle beam/trailing arm assembly
off my car(getting sandblasted/repainted) and what I did is unbolted the
mounts. The bolts were frozen into the sleeve through the bushing and into
the bushing. So I put the mount into a vice and hit the long end of the
bolt really hard with a big hammer and after a few hits they came out. A
lot better and quicker than pressing them out. BTW I did try to use a
normal hammer and no vice, but even in the bushings sad shape it held
tight. Yesterday my new bushings, and other stuff, arrived from
Potterman(thanks man) and I was very pleasantly surprised to see the
bushings are two piece units. So they go in Much easier than they come
out. Hopefully your new bushings will be like this too Gary. Yours are
just like mine Eric so don't worry about installation( how do I know,
hehehe I know everything). Good luck.
