Why would any one want to engineer /design something, let alone for their own
use, and esp.- something that is saftey related, to the lowest bidder, just
good enough level?
These are your headlights you are dealing with. If you are going to do some
thing, do it right, maybe better than right.
Dial in some overkill, make things just a bit thicker and stronger. Do it once
and not have to come back later to retrofit/repair something. Avoid those
breakdowns out in the middle of the boonies/ in the rain/ on a date.
Overall, the greatest cost of upgrading the headlights is the lights
themselves, right? The wire, connector, and relays are cheap in comparison.
So go for the high standard.
