87 rocco 16V PS on 83 GTI?

hey everyone, i have a question or two for all y'all.

	i have a power steering unit left over from my dearly departed 16V
rocco, and i was wondering if it can be swapped into an 83 rabbit GTI? 
i know that they basically share the same blocks and a few other parts,
but i don't know if they are 100% compatible.

	i have the pump, the pulley, the steering rack, and all the hoses and
whatnot, but i am lacking the belt to connect it all together.  does
anybody have any idea what belt would need to be used in this case? 
simply the one from the rocco?  if so, does anyone havea part number
handy?  thanks in advance for all your help.
