Right on the ball mister, again.  This is exactly what I'm going to do.  I can
even tell you the range you'll probably need, if I remember correctly it was
from 1k-6k ohms.  Somewhere in that range will produce the correct mA current
to flow to the control pressure regulator, which is as you know 20.5 mA (the
BEST piece of info from the EC article), which should induce the correct fuel
to air ratio.  You also correctly deduced that the correct ratio is not 14.7:1,
it's slightly below, 13:1 is probably right on the money.

If I can find 1 pot, I'll get a couple and try and cover the range that way.
Have you looked at the resistance vs temperature graphs in the Bentley?
