        Jason,

                I take it you didn't get the backing plates.  You will need
these for sure.  i would give you're friend in Germany a call, and get him
so send a set over.  They won't fit otherwise.  I had the same problem this
summer in england, they didn't bother to give me them, even though i told
them i thought i needed them.  I'm still waiting for them, 5 months later. 

                well, good luck getting them.  did you find any clear signals?
