Washer Squirters & New Dealer Parts

There's been a few threads about winshield washer squirters being clogged
or being very feeble.  Just thought I'd pass on the info that I just
bought 2 new ones from the dealer for my 88 16v at the grand price of
$1.75 each.  What are you waiting for?

Anyway, the dealer can still get all those hard to find replacement
trim parts and scirocco specific gear.  I've been ordering things like
mad for the past 6 months, every time I get in a special order, I
place another one.  I've gotten some pretty odd (some scirocco specific)
things like the coolent hose clip that sits on top of the radiator,
the multi-piece cloth interior trim panel for the sunroof, sunroof
seal, hood support clip, rear decklid straps, hood springs/latches,
and door handle plastic trim to name a few.  Remember, don't whine
about hard to find in the junkyard parts, or the poor condition of
some things on your car while they're still easily available at the
(sometimes overpriced) VW dealer.  In three years we're going to be in
some trouble though...so order soon or forever be kicking yourself.

(1992 was the last year the Scirocco was sold in Europe, manufacturers
are obliged to support their cars for 10 years.  After 2002 I would
expect to see a great decline in the availability of Scirocco specific
parts)
