I did replace my water pump and took off the timting belt, but it started and I drove it home so it couldn't be the timing belt related could it. It ran fine then the next day nothing. How can I check my timing. Could I loosen the distributer and turn it while someone else cranks the engine to see if it catches? thanks c-ya, dave 82 Scirocco
