No, I could drop in a 2.1L 16v Turbo, or any combo of similar like, 
and be neck to neck with most above  mentioned cars...and still be
cheaper...and I await the day that I will have that. (give me 1.5 year)
300 HP is an attainable figure to drop into our beloved Scirocco 
which is lighter than any car above.
