Expansion Tank

Hello,

My 86 8V has a relatively new expansion tank - 11-26-96, from the
dealer. It has developed a few cracks on top around the circular
depression. These cracks do leak coolant. I don't know if the was a
recent post about this, if so I apologize.
    Could it be the cap not letting off pressure?
