No.  I'm sure that a ceramic coated 16v header could be had for about $350 or less.

Yes, and I was speaking from experience.  Several years ago, I paid $900+ for
my Techtonics 16v 2.25 SS system, from the exhaust manifold all the way back.
And you know, it was STILL way cheaper then dealer parts. Prices may be better
today, I haven't kept up.

As someone else pointed out (Dan I believe), this is probably not the case.  
I also noticed the difference between my TT and stock setup.
