You didn't say what year your car was!  That is very important, because
the insurance company may decide to TOTAL the car; that means they get
the car (which will probably end up in a salvage yard) and only pay you
fair market value (which is going to be way less than it's worth to you,
since it's probably upgraded, etc...)
