i took a look at my friend's 2.0 16v , and the intake manifold looks
(very subjective) alot bigger  than on a 1.8 16v (i mean the 4 "tubes"
that leave the upper intake manifold to go to the head).
i measured the inside diameter of each one at about 42-3 mm, what do
they measure at on a 1.8 16v?
if they are bigger can someone slap a 2.0 intake on a 1.8?

does someone know the diameters of the intake/exhaust ports of both
heads? (i love numbers)

,also are the valves different sizes on the 2 heads?

are the cams interchangable between the 2 heads?

86 Scirocco 8v,  maybe a 2.0 16v conversion in the future, who knows?!?
