I've heard of this, but where I live it's not yet become a problem.  I
imagine the thieves using this method would be after the Lexuses and
Benzes, which they pack into container ships bound for Shanghai and other
parts unknown.

This looks worse than the door plates, IMO.  Of course, it works much
better.  BTW I think the door plates look good! :)
