AFAIK the lowerest final drive was a 4.11 in a 5spd & 4.17 in a 4spd.
The 5spd unit was in "some" FF & I think FN's. There was & is no way
to order one since the fische says the replacement is a 3.89. Trust
me if the part# was around I'd have it locked in my head. I have had
this confirmed from 2 tranny rebuilders, Too bad it's just a random
deal.
I once gave away a Diesel trans to one of my rebuilders for a core
that I pulled from PUP. Come to find out It (4.11) was in it. But
at the time I was doing a 4.25 so no biggie. (yeh right!)
It's too bad there is no way to tell unless you pull them apart cause
I don't wanna get stuck with 3.89's, but 3.94's would be cool. :0
Wow 5.37 sounds nuts, I knew Ron Wood had a 5.07 in his MK1 pro
rally car, Let's see 95mph in 5th at 6500 rpm talk about buzzy :-)
