AC Compressor

I heard everyone talking about jumpering out the switches on the compressor
to see if it is the problem in an A/C problem.  My prob is that I had it
recharged and after that the A/C worked like a champ for 2-3 weeks.  Took
it in to shop for odometer replacement and when I get it back the A/C
doesn't pump out as cold as before.  Not even close to how it was before.  

So, now I want to know if it is the compressor or what.  WHen the A/C is on
the compressor clutch does not engage.  

Is there anything inside the dash that they could have touched that would
make the compressor not kick on???
