Frank, I had a similar experience...every time I hit a bump the
suspension would clunk.....turned out to be the control arm bushings...or
"a-arm"....connects at bottom of strut near wheel...the bushings are where
the a-arm connects to the frame of the car.
Just my 2 cents....
