If you dont mind me asking, WHY?
If your Scirocco is bone stock, the very last thing you will want to do
is put on a larger throttle body. The misconception of bigger throttle
body equals more power only works on the old V-8's of yesterday.
If you wish to gain more power thru bolt-ons for your Scirocco, you
will want to first and foremost, upgrade your exhaust system. Be sure
you have the dual outlet manifold and downpipe and put on at least a 2"
system from the cat back.
Then if you still want more ponies, put in a G-grind cam. If thats not
enough hp then go with a 270 deg cam, its a little wild and the idle
will be a bit rough but, it will supply the airflow you would need for
the extra power.
Then, after you install the K&N air filter, THEN put on a larger
throttle body.
The last bolt on item that i can think of, besides going with a turbo
system or nitros would be to buy the 1.4mm VW Motorsports head gasket.
It will up your compression by .7. Its worth a few more hp.
