tweeter and other speaker mounting

I think mounting the tweeters in the ceiling is a very bad idea simply from
my experience with Scirocco healiners (Jay can back me up I know!)  If
anyone wants to change their headliner I strongly suggest to not do it! 
Anyway, there really isn't enough clearance for the tweeters in the roofand
I think it might look pretty bad which you wouldn't want.  I think the best
place to mount tweeters in a Scirocco (mkII that is) is on the top of the
door panel, right in the front, where the black plastic piece is.  They are
positioned great for tweeters with the upward angle.  I plan on getting
another amp for the front speakers in my 16v and putting 4" woofers in the
stock area and 1" tweeters iin the door panels.  Between that and my
Infinity 3 way 6x9s in the rear my stereo will be plenty for me!   Good luck
