The next question is this: was the scirocco stock with 13" or 14" rims?

75 to 81 Scriocco   13X5
82 to 86 Scirocco II  13X5.5
86 on 16V  14X6

Some versions in the UK got 15" wheel I think.

Another thing kind of interesting:

75 to 83 had single wipers and according to the Corrado list, this 
mechanism can esily be retrofitted to any VW to produce a single wiper 
system  ( of course some mods would need to be done to A2 and 3 but It's 
not hard)  An 84 up with double wipers should easily accept an 82 or 83 
system.
